GasBuddy Sucks!

I used to be a big fan and user of GasBuddy.
But, they have gotten so, so stupid I can't trust them for accurate fuel prices.
They have implemented new features to their mobile app. you not have to be at or in the station's parking lot which is kind of a good idea stops people from using the app while driving.

They have added this thing they call VPC Verify Price Check that is totally ignorant.
If you report a price that is one cent lower, it asks you: "Are you sure this is the correct price? This price seem awfully low."  If you click "Yes" this is correct. The app automatically bans you from reporting prices for 24 hours.
But, if you report a price that is say 10 higher it doesn't ask you if you are sure this price is correct.

There are some users trying to destroy GasBuddy they are reporting prices that are like 10 to 20 higher than the actual price. These people are being paid to report high prices at some stations and lower prices at other stations to drive business to the lower priced stations. I know this for a fact because, i was asked to do this. they offered to pay me $25.00 per day. I acted like i was interested and got more info, then reported them to GasBuddy. GasBuddy more or less called me a liar and banned my account for 30 days. So I feel they "GasBuddy" have a part in this scheme in some way.

I first reported this when I lived in Indianapolis, Indiana. When we moved here to Nova Scotia i have noticed the same thing going on here. I created a new user account because GasBuddy kept fucking with my first GasBuddy account. of 11.5 years. I would report a price example: $1.59 for regular fuel. it showed that it posted. I would check my price report on another mobile device. my price report didn't post or, they price would post as $1.79 for regular fuel then my account would get a 24 hour ban for false price report. i would email their tech support i would get replies that looked like they were written by grade school children because, of the things they would say in their replies. an adult doesn't talk that way.

So, I investigated the company. There are only 12 employees bases in San Francisco, CA, USA
but all records state the company is located in Boston MA, USA It has a parent company Located in Brooklyn Park MN, USA. This parent company is a Sub company of an oil group located in Texas that manipulates fuel prices in North America. GasBuddy also has dealings with three major credit card companies. that pays GasBuddy 2.5 cents each, for the user's price reports in turn GasBuddy gives users points to be used in a lottery like contest. the user collect these points then buys tickets, they tickets go in to a pool and the computer randomly picks a user that entered the lottery. and that user is given four $25.00 Gas Cards. I have found out this lottery is rigged it only gives the gas cards to people who are being paid to report these false high and low prices.

I have reported this to US and Canada officials they are looking this over. if they see anything illegal they will take action against GasBuddy.

GasBuddy used to be a not-profit company, until 2004 then filed to become a for profit company the request was granted. Like most companies they start out honest, then the greed of money gets its grip on them and destroys them.

Word of advice, if you use the GasBuddy app or site. don't trust the fuel prices you see for your local station 90% of those prices are incorrect.

I told GasBuddy, I was removing their widgets, maps and links to their site. they said NO Please don't! We need people like you to spread the word. If you keep them on your sites we will pay you 15 cents per visitor to your sites and blogs. What that means (If you don't already know) each time a person visits our blogs or websites it counts as a token, each token the site or blog gets, GasBuddy will pay us 15 cents. That could add up to around $25.00 to $50.00 per month per site/blog
For now I will leave them there. We have 3 websites and 8 blog pages. We don't have GasBuddy on all of them, only on three blogs and one website.

On my new GasBuddy account I only report fuel prices at two stations to and from work.
No one else reports prices at these two fuel stations. so I haven't had any issues reporting prices to these two fuel stations.

GasBuddy, Go Fuck Yourself!

Why Don't People Respect The Law?

We have satellite TV.  Big deal, right?

We brought our DTV system with us. we didn't put in a change of address to the provider.
we have auto pay so, they will never know. We can receive TV from Indianapolis here in
Nova Scotia, Canada on the satellite system. we also get Nova Scotia TV I needed to tell you this so you can understand what i have to say.

Today Wednesday, 18 May, 2016 I heard on the radio of how people are just walking into people's houses and taking whatever they want, even with the people in the house. They wave a gun at them and tell then your life isn't worth anything in this house or, the risk of what I might do if you try to stop me.

Another story i heard on our local TV about a week ago, this man was off work for the day. he had been doing work in his garden pruning trees and shrubs. then went in his house he locked the door but had a window open to let the breeze in. He then fell a sleep in his couch. he was awoken by a sound when he sat up there were tow teen age kids searching through his house. He got up and yelled at them "What the hell do you think you are doing?" they said taking some of your things, why?

he started after them and they said if you touch us you will go to prison for assaulting a minor. they other said i'll say you tried to feel me up. so he was seriously in a position where he couldn't do anything he said they looked to be 12 or 13 years old. He called 911 and was put on hold. when they finally answered his 911 call the boys were gone with his HDTV some cash and some of his wife's jewelry. The police have never found the boys or the Man's property.

Today I watched TV News from Indianapolis. they told of people doing the same thing just walking into people's homes and taking whatever they want then walking out.

A 11 year old boy jacked a car from a 54 year old man at gun point. when the man resisted the boy shot the car two times then said the next one will be in your head "M-F-er" they man said here take it, its insured. the boy got in started it and took off burning rubber. The boy was caught but, because of his age they couldn't arrest him. He was released to his parents.

Society is way to easy on children. Yes, I'm a kid too, but I respect the law and my parents.

I would never even think of doing such a thing.
I think if a child breaks the law he or she should be arrested and jailed according to the crime they committed, just like an adult. if they cause property damage, then should have to pay for the damage they caused, not their parents.

What society is doing by being so easy on children is: creating future criminals, and a bunch of wimps. Society needs to get tough on children and make them pay for their actions. Not their parents, unless its their parents fault.

I hear stories like this all the time. people need to respect the law and obey the law.
if you want something and don't have the money to buy it, get a job or get a better job,
don't take things from other people.
Some of those people your stealing from, have worked very hard and saved for months even years to buy the things they have.

Thank You For Reading My Blog Post.

Lobster Boat

Hey peoples,

I bought a 53 ft. Lobster Dragger today I don't know what inspired me to buy it, but I did.
I was out to lunch i was looking for a good place to eat when i seen this boat. I was like wow than't nice i wished i had one like that. Then i turned around to get a closer look at it. As I got closer, I seen a for sale sign. I was like holy crap wonder how much. I parked my suv and went to look at it.
Its real nice, but for some reason the owners were selling it at a super low price. I asked why?
He said it's complicated, this vessel had 4 owners and we can't come to an agreement on a few issues so, we're selling to to save our friendships. It's been listed for 1 year and 9 months for $225.900 CAD
and haven't got a single offer so we cut the price 75% this morning we are taking a huge loss but, our friendship means more then money. He took me on a tour it has a brand new engine the original engine had a manufacture defect. The manufacture Caterpillar replaced and installed a brand new engine last year. they has it out one time for 2 weeks on the new engine.
it cones with 50 lobster traps and a new Dolphin, Sea Turtle safe Cod, and Mackerel dragging net.
It sleeps 6 had a full sized kitchen and living area, bathroom and shower stall a laundry room with a washer/dryer combo radar, sonar, marine radio, GPS, and all the electronic gadgets needed and required by law after the tour i said to my self i have to have this. I called my Wife told her about it and sent her a few pictures. she said looks nice, if its something you real;y want and will use, go for it, buy it. She added "I like it, its also kind of like a personal yacht it looks like it has many uses besides a lobster/fish vessel." I texted her back and said Thank You. then i turned to the owner said, I like it. then asked what price are you asking? He said $56.475 it cost us us $890, 820 new, its 3 years old, it has been at sea 6 times for 2 weeks at a time so, she is still a baby with many years of service.
then he looked at me for like 5 minutes. then said there is something about you, you have a honest peaceful aura about you. I'll let her go for $50.000 CAD even just for you. He then said don't accept my offer right now. please check my offer with dealers and other offers before you accept. So I did
everything I found like this vessel's make model selling for $300k to 500k They are all are over 10 years old. I went back to him and said this is a once in a life time offer. then i said hang on. I then did a check on this vessel history to see if its had any insurance claims, repairs, or reported issues. the only thing found was the replacement of the engine. I went back to him and said It's a deal I want it. We shook hands and shared financial details, I then transferred the money into his account.
He said we have to go to the NS government maritime office and transfer the title and ownership over to you. I called work and asked for an extra hour off for lunch. they said sure not a problem.

Its official I own a 53 ft. 2012 Lobster Dragger

These are only a few of the pictures I have. I'll add a few others later I have to get back to work now.

Like Promised Here are a few more pictures.

I have some more pictures I'll post them later.

Update I can't post anymore pictures, because I sold the Lobster boat.

Cell Phones Are Watching You 24/7

Hello,

Yes that sounds crazy, but its true.
If your cell phone has a camera -which most do- then its watching you 24/7 its also listening to you.
I have heard about this long ago with home cordless phones listening tin on you even when it's turned off.

I was listening to Kim Komando on the radio, if you haven't heard of her.
She is titled as the Digital Goddess she know almost everything about electronics.
anyway she was talking about how cell phones mainly Smart phones are tracking our every move.
Smart phones are Big Brother. they know where you are 24/7/365 even if you turn off the GPS
turning the GPS off only turns it off on the apps but its still turned on for all the system apps that came with the phone.

To make this short i'll skip to the camera and mic the biggest threat to your privacy.
the camera and mic are on even when you turn the phone off. and can be accessed by Google
Law Enforcement a,d other government agencies worldwide. there is also an app that anyone can download for free. all the user has to know is your smart phone's number and they can access your front and back camera and then mic without knowing it.

This IS invasion of your privacy, but you agreed to allow this when you agreed to the terms of service. if you didn't agree then you can't use your phone.

There is only two ways to stop this.
1. toss your smart phone and buy a cell phone without a camera.
2. put a piece of tape over the cameras.
As for the mic, there is nothing you can do about that.
Just don't take your cell phone to your bedroom if you plan on making out with your better half.
Also leave it in the other room if you are going to have a private conversation with someone.
Why? Because someone IS listening to you.

Samsung has added a low light camera to the new Galaxy S7 phones so it can see in the dark.
That was done so whoever is watching can see what you are doing in the dark.
LG and Apple are also adding the same low light cameras to their new phones. Soon they all will have the low light cameras.

Some people take the battery out at night. that doesn't do anything because the phone has its own battery to keep the operating system and all the apps in memory. its a battery you can't remove.
it doesn't look like a battery so you wouldn't know it was a battery if you were looking right at it.

Smart phones are Big Brother's way of spying on all of us. It's a fact.

Cortana Is A Resource Hog.

I have been trying to find a way to uninstall Microsoft's resource hog Cortana.
I have been told over and over it can't be uninstalled because its part of the Operating System
you can only turn it off. Turning it off doesn't really turn it off it is still running in the background using the same if not more resources.

I figured out a way to make it inoperable 100%

First you open the task manager,
Click on the processes tab find Cortana, it should be close to the top of the list.
Right click on the Cortana icon then click Open file location.
It will open the file and have Cortana highlighted.
Right click it, then click rename.
Do not change the name just add .old at the end on the string
It will give an error say it can't change the name because its being used.
Leave the folder open
Go back to the task manager
Right click on Cortana then click end process.
here is where you have to act fast because if you are not fast Cortana will turn its self back on.
Once you click end process click Try Again on the Cortana file.
You may have to do a few times because it has to be done fast.
Once the name is changed Cortana is dead and can't turn its self back on.
freeing up around 2 GB of memory and around 10% to 20% of the CPU depending on your CPU

After i did this my games like GTAV, Call of Duty and others run so smooth its like real life
Before i did this GTAV on my system had an average Frame Rate of 48fps with peeks of 58fps
which isn't bad but it messes with my vision when the frame rates are slow.
after i did this GTAV frame rate is a solid 80fps with peeks of 170fps
Call of Duty is fluid I don't know how to check its frame rate but its a lot better now

Videos run a lot smoother now I watch a lot of Netflix and it would hang and lag when Cortana was hogging resources.

Also you can check the app history to see for your self if Cortana is dead.
clear the app history then go back a few hours or the next day and you'll see Cortana use history is 0:00:00 CPU Time,  0 MB Memory Use, 0 MB/s Hard Drive Use, 0 Mbps Network Use

One last thing after turning Cortana off the other apps that couldn't be turned off, now can be.

Update:
Someone emailed me saying they need more info and asked if i could provide pictures to help them understand.

Here are those pictures/screen captures

Notice after doing this Cortana isn't on the task bar. only a search icon to search your PC

I hope this helps, if not shoot me another email and give me your email and i'll try to explain it a different way.
